Family Holidays in Mid Wales

Family Holidays in Mid Wales

Mid Wales consists of two national parks and seventy miles of coast. There are the mountains of Snowdonia, the market towns, the seaside towns of Cardigan Bay and the spa towns. Mid Wales offers plenty to see and do for a great active holiday for the whole family.

If an activity holiday is required then there are plenty of places to walk - the Coastal Path from Borth to Cardigan for example. Snowdonia offers walking and climbing, sailing and fishing, canoeing, kayaking and rafting.

There are seaside towns such as Barmouth, Aberystwyth and Portmeirion Village where there is sailing, fishing, surfing and walking. You can of course visit the many shops and cafes located here. Inland there are market towns and spa towns. Welshpool has the largest sheep market in the country. Hay-on-Wye has many bookshops for the keen reader to visit and while away their days.
